How to Stop Valpak Mail
Valpak has an official removal form for its coupon envelope. Use the complete delivery address, including an apartment or suite number.
Go directly to Valpak's unsubscribe request. The company asks for the full name and delivery address so it can find the correct mailing record. The form also asks you to confirm that you have authority for the address provided.
Remove your address in five steps
- Keep one envelope. Use the address exactly as it appears on the Valpak label.
- Open the official form. Confirm that the page is on valpak.com before entering your information.
- Complete the contact fields. The form marks full name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone, and email as required. Add the apartment or suite number where applicable, using the printed delivery address.
- Confirm your authority and submit. Check the address-authority statement only if it is true. Complete any human-verification step yourself on Valpak's site, then select Submit.
- Save the result and date. Keep any confirmation with the envelope. Opening the form or filling its fields is not a completed request.
If a required field or human-verification step prevents submission, the request is not finished. Read the form's feedback and correct the missing information on Valpak's site. Do not invent contact details or use another person's identity to get through the form.
Why another envelope may still arrive
Valpak says removal can take several weeks because its advertising programs are prepared in advance. An envelope already printed or entered into the mailing process may arrive after the request.
If mail continues beyond that period, compare the new label with the address you submitted. A missing apartment number, changed street format, or second recipient name can point to another mailing record.
Do not submit repeated requests every few days. Keep the confirmation date and one later envelope. If the complete printed address is identical after the processing period, use that evidence when following up.
Recognize the Valpak pieces the form can cover
The blue shared coupon envelope is the familiar format, but Valpak's official advertising overview also lists stand-alone postcards and other direct-mail products. Look for the Valpak name, return address, postal marking, or disclosure on the outer piece rather than relying only on the color or the advertiser inside.
A restaurant or contractor coupon inside a Valpak envelope does not mean that business controls delivery. A separate postcard may be branded mainly for one advertiser, so inspect the small print and return address before deciding whether to use Valpak's form or contact the advertiser directly.
What the Valpak form does not stop
The request covers Valpak mailings. It does not remove your address from other coupon publishers, local advertisers, political campaigns, or neighborhood delivery programs. Use the advertiser's own contact for each separate sender.
If you cannot identify who produced a coupon packet, photograph the front, back, and mailing label separately. Start with our photo guide so the sender name and address stay readable.
For broader addressed advertising, the Federal Trade Commission lists DMAchoice and other category-specific opt-outs. Those services do not replace Valpak's direct form, and the Valpak request does not suppress unrelated mailing lists.
Use the envelope address, not a coupon advertiser
The businesses inside the blue envelope buy advertising space, but Valpak manages the envelope delivery. Submit the address printed on the outer envelope. Contact an individual restaurant, contractor, or retailer only when that business sends a separate piece under its own name.
Handle apartments and former residents carefully
For an apartment, include the unit exactly as printed. A missing unit, a letter-number variation, or an old building address can prevent the request from matching the delivery record. If two versions continue, submit each complete address variation that you are authorized to manage.
If the envelope is addressed to someone who moved, do not claim to be that person. Use the previous-resident mail process and identify the delivery address as outdated. If the envelope says only “Current Resident,” the address itself is the record that matters.
Do not rely on Return to Sender
Writing “Return to Sender” on ordinary advertising mail may not update Valpak's mailing database. The online removal form gives Valpak the complete address it asks for and creates a request you can date and track. Our Return to Sender guide explains when postal return markings are useful and when they are not.
Where Junk Mail Magic fits
The official Valpak form is the most direct route for a confirmed Valpak piece. Junk Mail Magic is useful for mail that does not offer an obvious removal page. Photograph one complete mailer, review the sender we identify, and submit a sender-specific request.
